Haley Thomas is Senior Manager, All There Is with Anderson Cooper for CNN. She leads the podcast’s production as well as development and production for the streaming series, All There Is Live with Anderson Cooper.

Most recently Thomas was a Senior Producer for CNN Podcasts, working closely with the Executive Producer on strategy and new show development. She produced a number of podcasts for CNN including All There Is with Anderson Cooper, Chasing Life with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, The Assignment with Audie Cornish, Tug of War, CNN Political Briefing, Election 101, Total Recall: California’s Political Circus, and 5 Things. Thomas started with CNN in April 2020 and is based in Washington, DC.

Prior to joining CNN, she was a field producer for BBC News based in Washington, DC. Thomas traveled across North and South America producing audio, television and digital segments on major breaking news stories as well as in-depth longform features. She produced a range of segments, including on the immigration crisis at the US-Mexico border, police reform in the U.S., international aid being held at the Venezuela-Colombia border, and how a different way of cattle farming could help mitigate climate change, among many others. Thomas previously was a broadcast journalist with BBC World Service Radio and an audio producer for BBC World Service programs in London. In these roles she covered the 2016 U.S. presidential election and helped relaunch the BBC’s Global News Podcast.

Thomas originally hails from South Carolina. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and African Studies from College of Charleston and with a Master’s degree in International Journalism from City University London. She lived in Malawi, South Africa, France and the United Kingdom before moving to Washington, DC in 2018.
