














Gillian Roberts is a senior editor for CNN’s Visual News and Enterprise team, where she specializes in visual-led, data-driven storytelling. She is responsible for leading and editing enterprise visual journalism across CNN’s DC and National hubs, regularly collaborating with the network’s award-winning investigative unit.
Before joining CNN in 2022, Roberts led CQ Roll Call’s multimedia team, telling data-driven, video and audio stories about Congress. She previously penned CQ Roll Call’s Morning Briefing newsletter. Before that, she covered the rollout of President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act at an insurance industry outlet and served as a stringer on Bloomberg’s White House team during the Obama administration. She is a proud alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned her Master’s of Science in journalism at Northwestern’s Medill School, where she graduated with honors.
