Erika Allen is Senior Vice President of Audience at CNN Worldwide, where she oversees off-platform strategy, digital programming, streaming merchandising, AI editorial initiatives, and performance and feedback.

Erika Allen is Senior Vice President of Audience at CNN Worldwide, where she oversees off-platform strategy, digital programming, streaming merchandising, AI editorial initiatives, and performance and feedback.

Allen joined CNN from the Washington Post where, as Head of Audience Strategy and Growth, she created and executed cross-platform content strategies to drive audience growth and engagement across all digital channels. Prior to that she was Senior Director of Global News Operations at VICE Media, where she managed editorial operations, special projects and commercial content for VICE’s domestic and global news brands.

Allen has over 15 years of experience in creating transformational change in digital media, both at established journalism institutions, which in addition to the Washington Post include The New York Times and New York Magazine, as well as pioneering new media publications, such as VICE and The Outline.

Allen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Non-Fiction Writing from The New School. She is based in New York City.
