Christina Walker is a director on the National News Hub, overseeing breaking news coverage of national events.

Since coming to CNN in 2016, she’s helped lead coverage in such stories as the Los Angeles wildfires, the Covid-19 pandemic and the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. She also has a passion for how data reporting can inform coverage and helped build CNN’s 10-year database of U.S. school shootings.

Before joining CNN, Walker spent five years covering the Supreme Court for Oyez and also studied in New Zealand on a U.S. Fulbright Scholarship, where she produced a documentary on how communities adapt to changing environmental regulations.

Walker is from Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in journalism and political science.
