Carolina Peguero is an Emmy-nominated bilingual journalist with over 15 years of experience in television, radio, sports, and digital media. She is a CNN en Español correspondent based in Miami, reporting from South Florida and providing essential news coverage that brings audiences closer to the experiences and realities of the state’s dynamic and influential Hispanic communities.

Before joining CNN, Peguero served as a news anchor at TelevisaUnivision, where she contributed to both the linear and streaming programming of Noticias Univision 24/7 on the digital news platform ViX. Her reporting covered a wide range of topics—from breaking news, health, politics, immigration, and crime stories to in-depth interviews with experts on current affairs during her afternoon newscast, “Conectados” (broadcast at 4 p.m.).

Additionally, she secured an exclusive interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 Biden-Harris reelection campaign.

Previously, Peguero worked at local NBC and Telemundo stations as a bilingual general assignment reporter for WSCV-TV Telemundo 51 and WTVJ-TV NBC 6 Miami. There, she covered the COVID-19 pandemic and the tragic collapse of the Champlain Towers in Surfside. She also reported for WNEU-TV Telemundo New England and WBTS NBC 10, covering stories throughout the New England region. Peguero began her career at KRCA Estrella TV in Los Angeles, California, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University.
