Bianna Golodryga is a CNN anchor and senior global affairs analyst. Based in New York she anchors One World with Zain Asher and Bianna Golodryga weekdays at 11am ET on CNN International and CNN Max. Additionally, she regularly fills in on Amanpour, CNN International’s flagship global affairs interview program that also airs on PBS in the US, and Fareed Zakaria GPS.

Golodryga has reported extensively on Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel, interviewing former hostages and their families about their harrowing experiences. For the six-month anniversary of the deadliest attack in Israel’s 75-year history, she traveled to Israel to speak with family members of some of the men, women and children kidnapped by Hamas for a special episode of The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, ‘Hostages: The Road Home.’

Prior to joining CNN in 2019, Golodryga served as co-anchor for CBS This Morning. In that role, she led the network’s coverage of President George H.W. Bush’s funeral and conducted numerous news-making interviews, including an exclusive with the CEO of Huawei, his first with a U.S. journalist. She also regularly contributed and filled in hosting CBS Evening News and CBS Sunday Morning.

Golodryga’s time at CBS overlapped with her work as a CNN contributor between 2017-2019. Since joining CNN full time in 2019, Golodryga has helped lead the network’s extensive Russia related coverage, from President Trump’s historic 2018 summit with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, to the Mueller investigation, and most recently, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In addition to her role co-hosting One World, Golodryga continues to fill in host on signature CNN programs including Amanpour and Fareed Zakaria GPS. Previously, Golodryga was the news and finance anchor for Yahoo News and before that, she co-anchored “Good Morning America’s” weekend edition, as well as serving as ABC News’ Business Correspondent.

Golodryga began her career in television news in 2001 as a bureau producer from the New York Stock Exchange for the cable news channel, CNBC. Prior to her career in television, Golodryga worked in the financial services sector.

Golodryga has received several awards and recognition, including the Keystone Policy Center Leadership Award, the University of Texas at Austin Pro Bene Meritis Award, and an Emmy Award for Outstanding Morning Program, Good Morning America.

Golodryga graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Russian/East European and Eurasian Studies and a minor in economics. She is fluent in Russian.
