















Amy Gunia is a features writer for CNN International, based in Hong Kong. She is responsible for producing digital content, focused on sustainability and tech innovation across a variety of fields including science, business and style.
Before joining CNN in 2024, Gunia was a staff writer at TIME Magazine. She covered major breaking news events in the Asia-Pacific – including protests in Hong Kong, the Myanmar coup, and the assassination of Japan’s former leader Shinzo Abe – and wrote feature stories focused on climate change, equality, and Australasia.
Prior to journalism, Gunia worked in finance. She studied International Relations and Economics at Boston University, with a minor in Spanish language, and holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Hong Kong.
