Amy Croffey is a senior producer for CNN’s International Newsource team, based in the network’s London bureau. In her role, she oversees editorial collaborations between CNN and its Europe, Middle East, and Africa-based affiliates.
Prior to joining CNN, Croffey spent six years in Australia as a red carpet reporter and columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald. During this time, she interviewed a wide range of individuals, including politicians and celebrity A-listers such as Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe, Chris Hemsworth, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Hugh Jackman, and Sir Richard Branson.
Croffey began her journalism career in local newspapers, such as The Connacht Tribune, before moving on to Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ, where she worked as a radio newsreader and producer.
In 2023, she and her international news colleagues were awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Live Breaking News Coverage for CNN Worldwide’s reporting on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in New Media and English from the University of Limerick and a Master’s degree in Journalism from Dublin City University.
Croffey hails from Killure Castle, just outside Ballinasloe, in County Galway, Ireland.
