Previously, she worked at CNN as a News Associate, where she held a variety of production and editorial roles, including being a part of the assignment desk and producing graphics for “The Arena with Kasie Hunt.” She first joined CNN as a newsgathering intern in Summer 2023 where she worked with the Justice team in their coverage of President Donald Trump’s January 6th indictment.

Originally from Texas, Fayaz graduated from The George Washington University with a major in political communication.
