Melissa Gray is a senior editor with the National News Hub in Atlanta, editing stories and breaking news coverage of national events and contributing to network reporting. She was previously a reporter for CNN Digital, based in London, covering major stories across Europe.
Prior to joining CNN’s London bureau, she was the Europe and Middle East correspondent for the AP Radio Network, where she covered events including the war in Iraq and the trial of Saddam Hussein, the death of Pope John Paul II and election of Pope Benedict XVI, the death of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Throughout her career, she has reported on the Olympic Games, starting with Atlanta in 1996, Sydney in 2000, Turin in 2006, and preparations for the 2012 Games in London.
Her journalism career began at the CNN Radio Network in Atlanta, where she produced and anchored the network’s first international newscast.
