Christie Johnson is CNN’s Executive Director of Enterprise Booking, where she leads the network’s booking strategy. Johnson has secured exclusive interviews with some of the world’s most influential leaders, business executives, and newsmakers. During her tenure at CNN, Johnson has contributed to coverage of major global events, presidential campaigns, and breaking news moments through landmark interviews, town halls, and exclusive reporting.

Johnson joined CNN in 2014 and has held leadership roles across the network’s booking and editorial strategy teams. Prior to CNN, she worked as an on-air reporter and producer for programs including Anderson Cooper Live, Bethenny, and TMZ.

A fifteen-time Emmy nominee, Johnson received an Emmy Award in 2020 for coordinating an exclusive interview with the U.S. Secretary of Defense at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. She also won an Emmy in 2024 for her work on A CNN Town Hall: Toxic Train Disaster, where a live audience of Ohio residents held local officials accountable.

Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast News from the University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. She was named to the University of Georgia Alumni Association’s 40 Under 40, honoring outstanding alumni for professional achievement and leadership.
