Garland defends not turning over Biden interviews to House Republicans
The House Oversight and Judiciary committees are scheduled to begin the process of holding Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for failing to comply with subpoenas. Republican lawmakers requested audio recordings of President Biden’s interviews with Special Prosecutor Robert Hur from his investigation into Biden’s handling of classified information. Biden asserted executive privilege over the recordings, according to letters from the White House and Justice Department to House Republicans.
