Catching up with Matthieu Pavon, the first French PGA Tour winner since 1907
The golf world's newest winner, the Frenchman Matthieu Pavon, who triumphed last weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open, is not necessarily your typical golfer. The 31-year-old rookie just made history by becoming the first golfer from France to win on the PGA Tour in the modern era. Ahead of the AT&T Pebble Beach, which tees off Thursday, Pavon spoke to our Don Riddell from California about his incredible journey to get to this point, which includes the playing of video games, and explaining the inspiration behind a very unique tattoo on his hand. But he began by describing what a whirlwind the past few days have been like for him.
