(CNN)A truck drove into a crowd at Bastille Day celebrations late Thursday in Nice, southern France, killing dozens of people.

  • At least 84 people have died
  • A further 50 people are "between life and death," French President Francois Hollande said
  • Driver now identified as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a 31-year-old resident of the city
