Undeterred by a multi-million dollar price tag, Miley Cyrus clearly isn't horsing around.
The former teen-actress turned provocative pop icon reportedly shelled out $5 million for the luxurious Hidden Hills Equestrian Estate just outside Los Angeles early May.
The LA Times describes the property as a "6,500-square-foot ranch-style house" with "beamed ceilings, walls of French doors, wide-plank wood floors and pastoral views." It's also got a "550-vine vineyard and a swimming pool" as well as a "one-acre riding arena, two paddocks (and) a 10-stall barn."
That's more than enough space for the 22-year-old Cyrus to indulge in show jumping, dressage and myriad other equine activities when the fancy takes her.
Cyrus frequently rode horses when growing up on her father's estate in Nashville, Tennessee and frolicked with the animals in a special segment featured on the season one DVD of the Hannah Montana show in which she starred.
Now, the "Wrecking Ball" singer will be able to enjoy these pastimes once more in her spare moments at home.
But Cyrus isn't the only successful celebrity to enjoy the equestrian lifestyle. For some, it's even a lucrative side business undertaken away from the public eye.

Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg's interest in horses doesn't stop at the movie set. He co-owned racehorse Atswhatimtalkingabout, which came fourth in the 2003 Kentucky Derby.

Spielberg is also an investor in Biscuit Stables, the Delaware-based race trainers, and he is often seen at the big race meetings in the United States.

Pretty in pink. UK model, Katie Price, poses with a horse in her centerfold days.

According to a recent profile in London's Evening Standard newspaper, Price's KP Equestrian leisurewear firm accounts for around 80% of the British equestrian clothes-wear market.

Can't dispute this! Pop icon MC Hammer invested in and created his own Oaktown Stables. Hammer owned 19 racehorses at one stage, including the multiple Grade 1 stakes winner Lite Light and the aptly named Dance Floor -- which was third at the 1992 Kentucky Derby. Evan Agostini/Getty Images
Actor and director Kevin Costner, right, part-owns a number of racehorses which mainly run at Hollywood Park in California. He also supported the industry by voicing a documentary called "Laffit: All About Winning," celebrating the life and career of one of horseracing's most decorated jockeys, Laffit Pincay. Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones runs Sandymount Stud -- one of Ireland's foremost horse breeding businesses. Whilst he tours (no doubt playing the Stones' classic hit, Wild Horses, on stage), his wife takes care of the equine business. Chris Jackson/Getty Images
Songwriter Burt Bacharach, left, has owned horses since 1980 and has seen them run in the Dubai World Cup and the Breeder's Cup. He has had notable successes with three horses over a near 30-year ownership period: Soul of the Matter, Afternoon Deelites and Heartlight No. 1. Kevin Winter/Getty Images
Former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, is a renowned owner of racehorses. The Scot was famously involved in a 2002 legal battle with Coolmore stud owner (and one-time major Man Utd shareholder) John Magnier about the fate of Guineas-winning horse, Rock of Gibraltar. Vladamir Putin is a big animal lover -- or so the official photos of the Russian president petting tigers, playing with dolphins and, of course, pictured topless on this horse suggest. ALEXEY DRUZHININ/AFP/Getty Images
Thomas Muller is a recognizable face the world over thanks to his soccer exploits with German champions Bayern Munich and Germany's national team, but his wife Lisa has her own designs on conquering the sport she loves -- dressage. CNN
He may be in the news for smuggling his dogs into Australia without permission but actor Johnny Depp (right) also has a soft spot for horses. Depp reportedly adopted a partially blind horse he worked with on the film Sleepy Hollow after hearing it was to be put down. AFP/Getty Images
