KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An officer-involved shooting investigation is underway in Kenosha on Sunday, Aug. 23. A large crowd took to the street to protest following the shooting.
It happened near 28th Avenue and 40th Street around 5:11 p.m., after officers were called for a "domestic incident."
According to police, officers provided immediate aid to the person after the shooting. The person was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert in Milwaukee in serious condition.
Graphic video of the shooting is circulating on social media.
People at the scene told CBS 58 the victim is a man and a father.
"I know he's got kids and a girl. I never had a problem with him. I always see him everyday. Parks right behind me on the street," said Aaron, a neighbor.
"It goes back to the Emmett Tills. We're tired of it. Rodney King. We're tired of it. And right now, this is the wrong generation that this is happening to. The frustration is boiling to the top and we're sick and tired," said Clyde McLemore, Black Lives Matter of Lake County, Illinois.
