Two men were arrested at Sony Music’s London headquarters on Friday, where the company said two members of its catering team were “involved in a violent altercation.”

The incident triggered an armed police response and the mass evacuation of the office building on Derry Street in Kensington.

Sony said the incident was now being handled by London’s Metropolitan Police Service.

“Two men… were found suffering from stab injuries. They were both arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm,” a Met Police statement said.

“The men have been taken to hospital where they remain. Their injuries have been deemed non-life threatening.”

Police earlier confirmed that the incident was not being treated as terror-related and said there was no evidence any firearms had been involved.

“We just heard screaming and running and people slamming doors,” one employee who did not want to be named told Britain’s Press Association news agency.

The kitchen workers were “running around chasing each other” and “slashing each other up,” he said.

London Ambulance Service responders treated two people at the scene, a spokeswoman said. “We took one to hospital and one to a major trauma center,” she said.
