Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley announced Wednesday that she is suspending her presidential campaign, leaving former President Donald Trump as the presumptive GOP nominee.

She made the announcement in Charleston, South Carolina, following a series of losses on Super Tuesday.

"I said I wanted Americans to have their voices heard. I have done that. I have no regrets," Haley said. "Although I will no longer be a candidate, I will not stop using my voice for the things I believe in."

Haley is one of two Indian Americans to have served as governor of a US state. Before she was governor, she was a state representative.

Haley also served in the Trump administration as US ambassador to the United Nations.
