In one of the greatest shocks in heavyweight history, Fury took Klitschko's IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO titles on November 28, 2015.

It was Klitschko's first defeat since 2004, having won his previous 22 bouts.

Fury celebrated his win in Dusseldorf, Germany, but was stripped of the IBF belt 10 days later due to a rematch clause in his contract with Klitschko which prevented him facing the organization's mandatory challenger.

Protesters demonstrate outside the 2015 BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards in Belfast to oppose Fury's addition to the shortlist after he made controversial comments about homosexuality.

The proposed rematch between Fury and Klitschko was postponed twice in 2016 -- the second time in September when the Briton was ruled "medically unfit to fight." He then lost his fight license and was to face an anti-doping hearing.
