Ever dreamed of scoring a goal for one of the world’s top football teams?

How about scoring 500 or 501? Well, that’s what Cristiano Ronaldo did Wednesday night.

The Real Madrid man brought up the big 500 with a first half strike against Swedish side Malmo in the European Champions League – in his 753rd career game.

He then added a second to make sure Real claimed a 2-0 win and made it two wins out of two in this year’s competition.

It means he has equaled the record set by club legend Raul – who needed 741 games to reach that level compared to Ronaldo’s 308.

Ronaldo’s numbers are staggering – he is the all-time leading scorer in the Champions League with 82 goals.

He has scored 323 goals for Real Madrid since joining the club for $130 million in 2009.

Ronaldo’s most successful season was the 2011-12 campaign where he scored an astonishing 69 goals for club and country.

Since then he has followed it up with 59, 62 and 66 last year.

Ronaldo, who joined Real from Manchester United, has averaged 53 goals a season since moving to La Liga.

He scored a brace against Malmo and has inflicted similar damage on opponents across Europe.

Spare a thought for Sevilla – his favorite opposition.

Ronaldo has scored more goals against Sevilla than any other team – 21 in total.

He has 18 against Getafe, 15 against Barcelona and Atletico Madrid with Malaga conceding to the Portuguese on 14 occasions.

During his time with Manchester United, he scored 188 goals, while he notched five for Sporting Clube de Portugal – his first club.

Ronaldo is also Portugal’s record goalscorer with 55 goals.
