Richard Allen Greene is CNN’s Jerusalem Bureau Chief. He was editorial lead for the network’s Edward R. Murrow award-winning exploration of antisemitism in Europe and for its National Association of Black Journalists award-winning look into racism in Britain. Richard has worked for CNN since 2008, starting as a newswriter, then working as senior news editor, data editor, and Director of Content. He reported on politics and religion for CNN, and covered the trials of Oscar Pistorius and Amanda Knox and the election of Pope Francis. Before joining CNN, Richard was the first web editor of Politico in Washington, DC. He worked for the BBC for six years and for the Prague Post for seven, where he covered President Vaclav Havel before becoming managing editor. Richard speaks Czech and Spanish, runs a lot and does not do enough yoga. He is always available to speak to students.
