Jacqui Palumbo is a Producer for CNN Style based in Chicago and New York. She has a deep commitment to engaging, accessible storytelling, covering topics in art, culture, fashion, beauty and design around the world. For Style, she writes and edits news, features and interactives, and has launched digital series including Culture Queue, Snap and Untold Art History. Palumbo has interviewed renowned contemporary artists including Amy Sherald, Catherine Opie, Petra Collins and Shirin Neshat; authors Celeste Ng and Kiran Desai; and designers Thom Browne and Gabriela Hearst.

Palumbo was part of the Style and Digital Video team that won a Silver Lovie Award in 2022 for a documentary about the artist and curators who escaped war in Ukraine to bring their work to the Venice Biennale. That same year, with CNN’s As Equals team, she won a collective Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists; the project included her reporting on the proliferation of skin-lightening products being sold across social media platforms.

Prior to joining CNN Style, Palumbo was a Senior Editor at Artsy, where she led the Visual Culture vertical, covering photography, design, architecture, and the intersection of art and pop culture. In 2018, the feature “Year in Visual Culture” was nominated for a Webby award. One of her essays for Artsy was also published by David Zwirner Press in the book “Diane Arbus: Documents.” Palumbo also worked for Photo District News (PDN) as the lead editor of its publications for aspiring photographers, PDNedu and Emerging Photographer. 

Palumbo is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she received a BFA in Art Photography and a minor in Art History in 2010.
