Channon Hodge is a writer, videographer, editor and licensed drone pilot, creating digital feature content for CNN.

Hodge was a live social correspondent in Chicago for CNN’s award-winning 2016 election night social media coverage, and filmed at the first Women’s March for the highly acclaimed documentary short, Women Who March. She oversaw production on the travel series, Away, I Live Here and co-produced and edited the series and broadcast show, Agility in Action, which highlighted businesses overcoming industry challenges. She also managed the web and social presence for several of HLN’s new original crime television series.

Prior to joining CNN, Hodge spent four years at The New York Times where she worked on the first live-to-web video series, and produced in-depth investigative stories on affordable housing and women in community college. Hodge also worked with Tanzina Vega to produce the acclaimed series, Off Color, about race and comedy featuring a young Issa Rae.

She also worked for the NPR affiliate, WNYC, and spent 8 years in audience development and promotions planning for Oxygen Media, BET and Lifetime Television.

Hodge graduated from Boston University and CUNY’s Graduate School for Journalism. She is originally from Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
