Amanda Wills is Vice President of Content Programming for CNN+.

Prior to her role with CNN+, Wills previously held the role of Executive Producer of Breaking News for CNN Digital. She led the Live News team to cover extraordinary news events, including keeping CNN Digital’s live coverage of the Covid-19 pandemic going nearly 24/7 for over a year and running the 2020 election Live Story from the planning stages until the final call. Under her leadership, CNN Digital broke many readership records.

Prior to CNN, Wills was the Deputy Executive Editor at Mashable where she led their top news coverage of everything from the Ferguson protests to the Paris attacks and led planning for events including the 2016 election and the Ebola crisis.

Wills graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor degree in journalism and electronic media, and Spanish. While there, she earned the Alex Haley/Playboy Interview Scholarship for professional promise and academic excellence.

Wills is currently living and working in New York City.
