In her time at The Denver Post and, before then, the Daily Camera in Boulder, Colorado, she served as a business reporter, covering a wide variety of industries such as natural products, tech, biopharma, retail, aerospace, and craft beer.

Wallace has won gold (2013) and silver (2018) awards from the National Association Real Estate Editors association and was selected for the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism Strictly Financial Fellowship (2011). She has also won numerous 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards from the Colorado Press Association, Colorado AP Editors and Reporters and the Society of Professional Journalists.

Wallace received a B.S. Journalism: News-Editorial with honors from the University of Colorado-Boulder. She also received a Certificate in Economics and Business Journalism from Columbia University.
