Taylor Romine is an assignment editor based out of CNN’s New York Bureau covering stories across the Northeast and voting rights.

Since joining CNN in 2018, they have covered a variety of topics, including Rudy Giuliani, voting access in Minnesota during the 2020 election and legal issues. They have done extensive work on the death of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky, and that of Daniel Prude in Rochester, New York as well as the following aftermath in the local governments. They also cover voting rights in the Northeast with a specialization in Michigan.

Previously, Romine worked at KPFA Pacifica Radio in Berkeley, Calif. covering the San Francisco Bay area. They are a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and the Columbia Journalism School. You can follow them on Twitter at @tayloromine.
