Pamela Steffey is the Executive Producer of the weekend edition of CNN Newsroom with Fredricka Whitfield based in the network’s headquarters in Atlanta.

Throughout her decade at CNN, Steffey has coordinated and produced countless hours of breaking news coverage, including the shooting at an El Paso, Tx. Walmart, Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, the Orland Pulse Nightclub shooting and the Boston Marathon bombing. She also covered major political events, including the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections and the 2018 midterms.

Steffey came to CNN from The Weather Channel here she produced a weekly hour-long documentary chronicling the effects of climate change called The Climate Code and later Forecast Earth. Before her two-year stint at The Weather Channel she worked as an Executive Producer at CBS News in Boston and an ABC News affiliate in Detroit, where she won two Emmy awards.

Steffey holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Western Michigan University.
