About

Kristin Donnelly is the Executive Producer for The Source with Kaitlan Collins, airing weeknights at 9pmET.

Since the show’s launch, she has produced many high-level interviews including former Attorney General William Barr, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Ukrainian President Zelensky and 11 presidential candidates in the 2024 election race- including Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis.

She’s lead the show’s coverage of former President Trump’s criminal trial, indictments and the political fallout.

Donnelly joined CNN in 2017 and prior to The Source, she was the Executive Producer for Inside Politics with John King, where she showcased her love for political news and reporting. She also served as the Senior Broadcast Producer for The Lead with Jake Tapper, and was a key member of the team covering election night, debates and other breaking news stories, including the January 6th insurrection.

Before joining CNN, Donnelly produced the White House beat at NBC News, covering both the Obama and Trump administrations from 2014-2017. She also field produced every major candidate during the 2016 presidential campaign in addition to the Paris, Brussels, and San Bernardino terror attacks. Prior to that she was a senior producer with MSNBC dayside programming, where her team covered the biggest stories from the Newtown shooting to the Boston Marathon bombing. She also served as a field producer for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Donnelly began her career as a reporter in local news, telling stories at WGRZ in Buffalo, WTVH in Syracuse, and WWNY in Watertown, New York. She’s especially proud of her coverage of Fort Drum’s 10th mountain division and their deployment to Afghanistan in the wake of the September 11th attacks.

She attended Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications (go ‘Cuse) and enjoys rooting for the New York Mets and spending time with her husband and family.
