He is responsible for editing CNN International’s desktop, mobile and app platforms, working closely with editors and programmers to ensure accurate and timely news coverage and optimized audience engagement.
Prior to joining CNN, McNicol spent five years at the South China Morning Post as a producer, reporter and sub-editor.
McNicol holds a master’s degree in Media and Communications Governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is originally from Hong Kong, and speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and Spanish.
