Judge says he needs more time to review text message evidence

Attorneys are debating the entry of a text message thread between former editor in chief o the National Enquirer Dylan Howard and Stormy Daniels' then-publicist Gina Rodriguez, who was one of Howard's sources on Daniels' Trump story.

Trump's attorney says it's unduly prejudicial to bring in messages from Rodriguez because she's not considered a co-conspirator — but Steinglass says it's evidence going to the core of the conspiracy.

Judge Juan Merchan says he needs time to look at the 15 pages of texts more closely.

Steinglass says the prosecution won't submit the texts through Pecker's testimony and can do so through a summary witness later.
