Virtual Insanity: London's One Aldwych hotel has just introduced the world's first Virtual Reality cocktail. CNN went along to try it out.

The Origin: For £18 or $23, customers take a two-minute trip to the Scottish Highlands via the VR headset, while their cocktail is prepared off-screen.

The magic mix: The Origin is made with Dalmore 12-year-old whisky, Merlet cherry liqueur, cherry puree, grapefruit juice, chocolate bitters and Lallier champagne. It's served with a glass hip flask topped up with sherry wood chip smoke.

It's Showtime: It's part of the new Showtime menu masterminded by Portuguese bar manager Pedro Paulo. Each cocktail is inspired by a hit play or element of stagecraft.

Aldwych Mule: The menu is divided by flavors into light Comedies, zingy Satires and so forth. The Aldwych Mule, with rich notes of berries and sticky jam, is inspired by "Is He Dead?"

Fairy Garden Infusion: Inspired by "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Fairy Garden Infusion is made with gin, dry white port, coriander bitters and rose lemonade.

Ce Soir: In the Musicals section, Ce Soir is inspired by "Moulin Rouge." It contains Babicka vodka, pomegranate shrub, fennel syrup, mint bitters and is made for two to share.

Jasmine Breeze: Inspired by "Aladdin," Jasmine Breeze contains tequila, mezcal, passion fruit syrup, pomegranate, passion fruit liqueur and peach bitters.

Mixology: "The way I look at mixology these days is more trying to understand what it is that people like and try to deliver those flavors in the best possible way," says Paulo.

The Lobby Bar: The menu is now a permanent fixture at One Aldwych's Lobby Bar in London's Covent Garden.
