Avenida Amsterdam, Mexico City: This leafy thoroughfare in the Mexican capital's hip Condesa neighborhood sits at number 11.

Hayes Street, San Francisco: At no. 10 is this chic shopping area that runs from Golden Gate Park and alongside the city's Alamo Square.

Calle Ocho, Miami: We're in Little Havana for the list's no, 16 entry -- a lively stretch where colorful murals, authentic food and culture draw visitors.

Via Provenza, Medellín, Colombia: This vibrant destination for shops and restaurants in Colombia's second-largest city is no. 16.

Newbury Street, Boston: This street of 19th-century brownstone townhouses is famous for its fancy stores and restaurants. It's at 31 on Time Out's rundown.

Oranienstrasse, Berlin: This street in the fashionable Kreuzberg neighborhood is well known for its Turkish restaurants. It's ranked at no. 8.

Wentworth Avenue, Chicago: The street that forms a central part of Chicago's Chinatown is at number 20 on the list.

Oxford Street, Accra: A blend of restaurants and nightclubs help give this road in the Ghanaian capital the buzz needed to hit no. 19 on the list.

Tai Ping Shan Street, Hong Kong: The street's name means "Mountain of Peace" in Cantonese. That's not always the case these days, as some of the city's coolest bars line the road. It's at no. 7.

MacDougal Street, New York City: Running through the heart of Greenwich Village, MacDougal is home to some of Manhattan's best-loved restaurants and bars (including perennial favorite Dante.) It's at 29 on the list.

Karangahape Road, Auckland: According to Time Out, "K Street" is "the bohemian heart" of New Zealand's biggest city, ranked 6 on the list.

Gertrude Street, Melbourne: Time Out Australia's Eliza Campbell described the no. 2 street on the list as "beautiful, unassuming and devoid of the rampant nightlife of its comparatively rowdy siblings."

Yongkang Street, Taipei: Home to tea rooms, street food stalls and cool boutiques, the no. 4 street is one of Taiwan's most coveted addresses.

Virgil Avenue, Los Angeles: An artsy hangout at the epicenter of LA's coolest trends, Virgil make the 13th place on Time Out's ranking.

Capel Street, Dublin: Dublin-based travel writer Nicola Brady says that Capel Street "feels like a proper slice of old Dublin." It's at 22 on the list.
