
World's best airports, 2021: The annual Skytrax World Airport Awards have been revealed. Upgraded food court options helped Hong Kong Airport land in 10th place in the 'World's Best Airport' category. Click through to see the rest of the list.

9. Kansai International Airport (KIX): Japan has the most airports on this year's 'world's best' list, scoring three spots. Kansai, which serves the Osaka area, landed in ninth place.

8. London Heathrow (LHR): The UK's busiest airport reopened to many international, fully vaccinated passengers on August 2. It landed in eighth place on the 2021 Skytrax list.

7. Zurich Airport (ZRH): Amid the pandemic, seventh place Zurich Airport in Switzerland added a pre-flight Covid testing facility.

6. Munich Airport (MUC): Germany's second-busiest airport scored high marks for organization and cleanliness, earning it sixth place on this year's Skytrax airport list.

5. Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT): Who needs an upscale lounge when there's a capsule hotel, complete with nap pods? Amenities like this helped earn Tokyo's Narita International Airport fifth place on this year's list.

4. Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN): In addition to landing in fourth place on the list, Incheon was recognized in the Best Airport Security category.

3. Singapore Changi International Airport (SIN): For the first time in nearly a decade, this airport is not number one on the list. It's still tops in the "10-15 million passengers per year" division, though.

2. Tokyo Haneda (HND): In addition to landing in the runner-up slot this year, HND was awarded the "Cleanest Airport" title.

1. Hamad International Airport (HIA): Qatar's centerpiece airport opened in 2014 and has been racking up accolades ever since. Coming in at third place in 2020, it's now the world's best airport, according to Skytrax.
