Private jet travel: Traveling like this is a pipe dream for most of us, but as fears about coronavirus heighten, those with dollars to spare are increasingly turning towards private jets.

Maximum privacy: Travelers are comforted by the privacy provided by this form of travel -- you can avoid other passengers altogether.

Increased requests: Richard Zaher, CEO of US company Paramount Business Jets, says: "We are seeing anywhere from 100% to 300% increases in charter requests depending on the region worldwide."

New clients: "The requests are coming from private jet clients, government officials, entertainers and sports teams, corporate executives as well as people who normally would not fly private," says Zaher.

Different reasons: Some travelers are worried because they have compromised immune systems. Others want help getting out of lockdown areas.

Uncertain future: The private jet industry might be seeing a boom -- but it might just be temporary. If there's economic downturn, the industry will be impacted -- and global air travel could suffer.
