Motorless travel: Canadian firefighter Markus Pukonen has spent seven years circumnavigating the world using just his "muscles and some wind."

Epic adventure: The adventurer has walked, canoed, kayaked, cycled, tricycled, skied, rowed, trimaraned, rafted, sailed and stand-up paddleboarded his way across 29 countries.

Sustainable way: Pukonen, seen traveling through Canadian city Winnipeg on a pogo stick, stresses that he isn't "anti motor," but hopes to inspire others through his journey, as well as challenge perceptions of what people believe is possible.

"So the fact that what I'm doing is such a crazy, astonishing thing [to some people] is really, really bizarre to me."](https://media.cnn.com/api/v1/images/stellar/prod/230424160147-04-man-traveling-non-motorized-transport-paddling-mekong.jpg?c=original&q=h_447,c_fill)

Special moments: Pukonen canoed to Tofino in Vancouver Island with his sister and nieces, who had traveled over to pay him a special visit.

Global adventurer: He traveled through North America's Lake Superior on a trimaran.
