National Tequila Day: The agave fields that provide tequila maker Casa Dragones with its harvest are located on an estate at 1,200 meters above sea level in the Trans-Mexican Volcanic belt in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico.

The raw ingredients: After a minimum of eight years, the agave plants are inspected and harvested by hand.

The packaging: Each bottle is crafted by hand in Mexico City.

The final product: Casa Dragones produces just two kinds of tequila, Casa Dragones Joven Sipping Tequila and Casa Dragones Blanco.

Drink up: The Casa Dragones Joven is made of 100% Blue Agave Tequila, a blend of extra aged tequila and silver tequila.

The best sip: After resting in new American oak barrels for five years, the tequila best served straight up without any citrus.

Collector's item: Each bottle is labeled and signed and numbered by hand.

How to try it yourself: At Casa Dragones' reservations-only six-seat tasting room in San Miguel de Allende, guests can enjoy some of the best sipping tequila in the world.
