Manish Mamtani made a pre-dawn mission to Two Medicine Lake, Glacier National Park, Montana, to capture this sunrise. Kazakh horsemen drive their herd to a corral where they'll spend the night being guarded against horse thieves. Ryan Bell says he took this image about 100 miles from the site in Kazakhstan where archeologists have discovered the oldest-known remains of a domesticated horse.
