The "floating" hotel: The modern hotel is suspended on steel columns above a 2,300-year-old archaeological site.

EAA - Emre Arolat Architecture: It's designed by award-winning architect Emre Arolat's firm.

10 years in the making: Ground was struck in the site in 2009 and the excavation and construction project took 10 years.

Mosaic: The museum is home to the world's largest single-piece floor mosaic. The undulating shape is the result of earthquake damage and rerouted rivers.

$120 million project: The venture cost more than $120 million, four times more than the original budget for the luxury hotel.

Pegasus: The second-century Pegasus mosaic features 160 shades of natural plant-dyed stones. At 8.5 meters (28 feet) below ground, it was the deepest discovery.

Antioch: The hotel lies on the foundations of the ancient city of Antioch. There are artifacts from 13 civilizations on the site.

Bookings: Although the hotel is currently closed, they are accepting bookings from June 2020 onward.

Bedroom: There are 200 suspended rooms and suites.

Dining: There are five dining venues on site, as befits Antakya's status as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.

Ayan Meyan: The signature evening restaurant offers a menu of local specialties, a fragrant mini spice bazaar, mezze counter and 55 varieties of Raki.

The bar: There are bird's eye view of the museum below from the rooms and from the public spaces.

Spa: The hotel is home to the city's biggest spa, wellness center and fitness hub.
