Hong Kong's hottest new restaurants for 2018: Adding to the city's staggering array of dining options, these 10 new tables will make choosing a restaurant in Hong Kong an even tougher task. New Spanish restaurant La Rambla, for instance, has snagged a prime harborfront address inside IFC tower.

La Rambla: Diners will appreciate the authentic Catalan dishes and lengthy list of Spanish wines.

Yardbird: The city's much-loved yakitori specialist has moved to a new spot in Sheung Wan. The change comes with a larger space and a few new dishes, but the rightfully legendary KFC -- Korean Fried Cauliflower -- thankfully, remains.

Big Sur: If you find yourself pining for a taste of California while in Hong Kong, there are few better options than all-day dining joint Big Sur. On the menu, you will find barbecue dishes like Santa Maria Tri Tip (traditionally slow-cooked over an open flame), whole seabass and pulled pork burgers. The bar is another draw, pouring 14 local brews from Hong Kong's Young Master Brewery, not to mention types of 20 tequila and eight varieties of mezcal.

Forbidden Duck: Chef Alvin Leung, the mastermind behind the three-Michelin-starred Bo Innovation, reinvents traditional Chinese duck dishes at his new venture Forbidden Duck. The duck is dry-aged before being slow-cooked to keep the meat more tender than in traditional versions.

Beet: A relaxed dinner option in the trendy Gough Street neighborhood, Beet promises beautifully composed dishes, served by a young international team.

La Vache!: La Vache! isn't wholly new to the city, but this new Kowloon branch is just as popular as the original Soho location. The steakhouse only does one thing, but they do it beautifully: steak frites.

New Punjab Club: With Michelin-starred chef Palash Mitra (formerly of London's Gymkhana) at the helm, the stylish 40-seat tandoor grill house shines a spotlight on Punjabi cuisine. Hailing from the Pakistani and Indian province, Punjabi food generally revolves around hearty sharing dishes and tandoor-fired meats.

Sushi Saito: The upcoming opening of Sushi Saito at the Four Seasons hotel marks the first venture outside Japan for legendary Chef Takashi Saito.

FUMI: A new addition to the ever-popular Lan Kwai Fong nightlife district, FUMI aims to take diners on a culinary journey around Japan. That means yakitori skewers, ramen noodles, full kaiseki set menus, sushi, sashimi and wagyu beef will all feature on the menu.

Popinjays, The Murray: One of the most talked-about restaurant openings of the year will sit inside The Murray, Hong Kong -- a preservation project that transformed colonial-era landmark into a luxury hotel. On the rooftop, Popinjays combines panoramic views of Hong Kong's skyline with seasonal menus and shared platters.
