Theme park for sale: The entire contents of Heritage Square Amusement Park in Golden, Colorado, go up for public auction on October 25.

Up for grabs: Rides on sale include a Tilt-a-Whirl (pictured), a flying tea cups ride and a kiddie roller coaster.

On the water: There are nine swan paddle boats going under the hammer, eight white and one black.

End of the ride: Heritage Square opened in 1959 as Magic Mountain, and closed for good in June 2018.

Old-time fun: "There was charm and nostalgia. Parking was free and there was no fee for admission," says Alan Bader, park operator for the past 20 years.

Generation to generation: "The park was enjoyed by parents when they were youngsters. These parents then brought their children to Heritage Square," says Bader.

Swings and more: Dan Satow, of Norton of Michigan Auctioneers, tells CNN Travel they've had "calls from all across the country," with the interest being "primarily from other parks."

Where next?: With the landowner calling in the lease on the property and profitability having been an increasing struggle, Bader tells CNN Travel he hopes "the pieces are bought by small business owners."

Memories: "My favorite memories at Heritage Square is seeing the park full with parents and children having fun," says Bader. "The smiles are what I will miss most."
