
First look at Hello Kitty Shinkansen: Japan's Shinkansen train operator, West Japan Railway Co. Ltd has unveiled its new Hello Kitty Shinkansen bullet train. The train will begin operations on June 30.

Plenty of pink: The livery is decorated in pink ribbons and Hello Kitty's signature bow.

Connecting western Japan: The collaboration aims to revitalize regional communities in western Japan.

Hello! Plaza: Car 1, named Hello! Plaza, is dedicated to limited period exhibitions showcasing various regional products and attractions.

Souvenir store: Passengers can also buy souvenirs and specialty products inside Hello! Plaza.

Kawaii! Room: The floor, windows, headrests and armrests of Car 2 -- named Kawaii! Room -- are covered in motifs from Hello Kitty and Friends.

Hello Kitty photo booth: There is also a photo booth -- featuring a Hello Kitty doll in Shinkansen uniform -- for passengers.

Cute tourism ambassador: Eight original Hello Kitty designs have also been unveiled -- each one is holding a local product representing one of eight Japan prefectures.

Regional photo spot: There will also be regional photo spots at different stations along the line.

Hello Kitty theme tune: Instead of the usual Shinkansen jingle, the train will ring the original Hello Kitty theme tune as it approaches the stations.
