Gray Malin's "Italy": From beach to lake, Italy's waterfronts are full of inspiration. Begin here, in Portofino, and click through the rest of Malin's photos to fully inspire your wanderlust.

Amalfi Coast: "The country truly stole my heart from the first time I visited back in college," says Malin.

Capri: "One memory that stands out is when I shot "Afternoon in Capri," which wasn't a photo I had planned. Once I was at that location, I was blown away by the beauty of the vibrant green trees, the sparkling water below and the way the sun touched everything in the scene as it started to descend."

Puglia: "Another highlight for me was Puglia. It's one of those places that you have to see to believe."

Cinque Terre: It can be hard to pick a place to visit in Italy, especially if you're short on time. Malin enjoyed Cinque Terre as a solo traveler and recommends it to others traveling on their own.

Capri: "Unexpected moments always arise and sometimes those turn out to be the best photos. With Italy especially, this happened a lot."

Tuscany: "The scenery throughout the country is beyond compare. I wanted to capture not only what it looks like to visit each of these places, but truly how it feels to be there as well."

Portofino: "This part of the country has held my heart since the first time I went and it is hard for me to stay away for too long."

Lake Como: Couples looking for romance should visit Lake Como, says Malin.

Sicily: "For someone seeking a more authentic experience, I would head to Sicily."

Tuscany: "Seeing the country from the ground, by air, and by water was a tremendous experience."

Cinque Terre: "When you are taking a picture, think about where the sun is and then adjust your position."

Puglia: "Its incredible beaches, culture and food make it one of my favorite places in Italy."

Sicily: "The art for this book was inspired by my passion to create moments in the style of La Dolce Vita, which I ended up creating through coastal images that evoke a sense of escape from the hustle and bustle of the city."

Lake Como: "The book pays tribute to my labor of love that spanned over six trips to Italy and five road trips along the coast."

Amalfi Coast: "The image on the cover of the book, showcasing the beautiful city of Positano, is one of my most popular photos, and it is one loved by many different audiences."
