Kawaii (meaning 'cute' in Japanese) at LAX —
That is one eye-catching plane livery. The new Hello Kitty Boeing 777 themed "Sanrio Family hand-in-hand" has Hello Kitty and 18 other Sanrio characters all holding hands.

A warm welcome from our crew —
One of this motley crew actually flies the plane. The paint job required 35 designers and took three times as long to complete than EVA Air's other Asia-route-only Hello Kitty planes.

Fun for all the family —
There are now a total of six Hello Kitty jets. The Taipei-LAX Boeing 777 (pictured) is the first one to showcase not just Kitty but a bunch of fellow Sanrio family members."The cheerful display of characters of all shapes and sizes, joining hands the entire length of the aircraft, invites new friends from around the world," EVA Air said.

Magic is in the air —
This is one of EVA Air's planes that flies Asia routes. Called "Magic Stars Hello Kitty," this flies from Taipei to various Asian hubs including Hong Kong and Japan.

... and on the ground —
And here is EVA Air's "Happy Music Time Hello Kitty" jet. Obviously. It flies from Taipei to Sapporo and Guam.

Scratchy, in a good way —
These Kitty jets are likely be the only aircraft from which you might be tempted to steal the headrest cover.

Pretty in pink —
As seen in Asia: Hello Kitty meals to go with the Hello Kitty interiors.

Cuteness starts at the gate —
The Hello Kitty air experience also includes possibly the world's cutest boarding passes and baggage stickers.

Cute smile, cuter apron —
No matter how cute her smile, it can't compete with her apron.

Flushed with cute —
Even the toiletries are comparatively adorable.

Kitty chow —
How to make airplane food palatable to even the fussiest kids. And a few adults?

First class cute —
The thrice-weekly flights from Taipei to Los Angeles began September 20. A European schedule is also reportedly on the cards.
