Bahamas retreat: Princess Diana and sons William and Harry stayed at Casuarina Beach in the Bahamas in 1993.

Menzies family: They were there as guests of Diana's friend Kate Menzies, whose family owned the beachfront property.

Pool: "The house of Menzies was most welcoming, with the boys stripped of their clothing and into swimming trunks and the pool," wrote Diana's bodyguard Ken Wharfe in his book "Guarding Diana."

Kitchen: The five-bed property is on sale for $12.5 million.

Bedroom: The house is in Lyford Cay, an exclusive gated community where Sean Connery and the Bacardi family are neighbors.

Made in 1969: The house was designed in 1969 by Connecticut architect Robertson "Happy" Ward.

Private beach frontage: There are 180 feet of private white sands at the front of the beach house.

Refurbished: It was refurbished in 2009 and has close to 5,000 square feet of interior space.

Bathroom: There won't be any problem washing down after a trip to the beach. There are six bathrooms and five partial baths.

'Huge luxury complex': Wharfe described the property as "a development that afforded a great deal of privacy, being part of a huge luxury complex, privately policed and spotlessly maintained."
