Old elegance —
Lefty's Old Time Music Hall was a strip club for 14 years before Jamie Webb turned the place into a rockabilly music hall. The long mirror on the left is a remnant from its former occupant. But there's more to this bar than might appear.

And behind this door ... —
Upstairs is the door to the washroom. Push the wrong door, however, and you'll end up in a hidden bar within the bar.

Mermaid Bar —
Mermaid is a maritime-themed bar inside Lefty's. "Mermaid is my favorite place in the bar," says owner Webb. "It's a lot of loud fun out there at Lefty's sometimes and this is like my escape."

Whiskey bar —
Unlike Mermaid, which is a rum bar, Lefty's (pictured) stocks about 100 varieties of whiskey, along with a bar food menu.

Bras for free drinks at Lefty's —
"I once dared a customer on a hen night to sling a bra to the moose antlers to win a free shot," says Webb. "She did and it's become a tradition ever since."

Lefty's music hall —
The two-story bar features live band performances daily.

Regatta Hotel's secret bar —
Beneath one of the most beautiful hotels in Brisbane sits a secret.

Walrus Club —
The entrance to the Regatta Hotel's Walrus Club looks like a door to a basement garage.

Walrus Club —
"It really was a storeroom," says the bar manager. "It wasn't until after the big flood in 2011 that we renovated the place into an underground bar."

Cobbler Bar —
If you aren't paying attention, you may miss the entrance of Cobbler on Browning Street.

Kwan Brothers —
Focusing on Asian street foods, Kwan Brothers is one of the hottest hangouts in town.

Not for staff only —
Diners at Kwan Brothers may not be aware of a bar at the back of the restaurant, behind a sliding door with a sign that reads "Staff only."
