Arouca 516: At 516 meters (1,692 feet), Portugal's Arouca 516 is the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge.

Tibetan-style: It's a Tibetan-style hanging bridge with a deck constructed of 127 modules, held up by steel cables and two huge V-shaped towers.

What lies beneath: The bridge is in the eastern part of Arouca Geopark, 176 meters (576 feet) above the Paiva River in the valley below.

World-class: "It will become an important presentation card for Portugal," said the local council, Arouca Municipality. "It will be an important milestone, all over the world, for the Portuguese construction company capacity, in innovating civil engineering projects."
