Alice the corpse flower, also known as Amorphophallus titanium, is blooming at the Chicago Botanic Garden.

The rare corpse flower blooms every several years, and there's no predictable blooming schedule.

When it does bloom, it gets very (very) stinky.

Clearly, some people seem to like--or at least don't mind--the smell of Alice, which is designed to attract bugs that pollinate the plant.

Alice will be in bloom at the Chicago Botanic Garden for the next 24 to 36 hours.

Those who can't make it to Chicago at the last minute can watch the flower live on YouTube.
