The Airport Service Quality Awards are the result of in-depth surveys to measure passenger satisfaction at airports worldwide. Singapore Changi Airport was awarded Best Airport by Size: Over 40 Million Passengers.

Incheon Airport (South Korea) —
Singapore Changi Airport tied in first place with Incheon Airport, South Korea, as the world's biggest and best airports for customer service.

Beijing Airport (China) —
Beijing Airport tied in second place in the category for airports serving more than 40 million passengers. Each year the airport deals with huge crowds during China's spring festival travel rush. 
Shanghai Pudong Airport (China) —
Another Chinese winner in the Over 40 Million Passengers category, Shanghai Pudong tied in second place. Customers get a head start by riding to the airport on the Shanghai Transrapid, one of the fastest commercial trains currently in operation.

Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (China) —
Another Chinese airport is in third place in the Over 40 Million Passengers category. Guangzhou is the world's 18th busiest airport by passenger traffic, with more than 55 million passengers per year.

Europe's biggest and best: London Heathrow (UK) —
London's Heathrow Airport was Europe's best airport serving more than 40 million passengers per year. That's despite not scratching the top 10 in travel analysts OSG's list of the world's most punctual airports.

North America's biggest and best: Indianapolis Airport (Indiana) —
Indianapolis -- which counts U.S President Barack Obama among past customers -- was named Best Airport by Size and Region in North America: 5--15 Million Passengers. No North American airports qualified for the top spot in the category for more than 40 million passengers.

Best in Africa: Mauritius Airport —
Mauritius's Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, formerly Plaisance Airport, was named best airport in Africa serving more than two million passengers per year. It's home to the country's national airline, Air Mauritius. 
Best in Europe: Pulkovo Airport (Russia) —
Three Russian airports were named Best Airport by Region, in the category for airports serving more than two million passengers. Pulkovo is a one-terminal airport serving St. Petersburg.

Best in Europe: Sochi Airport (Russia) —
Tying with Polkovo is Sochi Airport. It was nominated as one of the world's most scenic airport approaches in a survey by private-jet charter firm PrivateFly.com in 2014.

Best in Europe: Sheremetyevo Airport (Russia) —
The third Russian airport to be honored is Sheremetyevo in Moscow. It began as a military airport in the 1950s, before becoming a civilian facility in 1959.

Best in Middle East: Amman (Jordan) —
Queen Alia International Airport was named best Middle Eastern airport serving more than two million passengers each year. It's named after the third wife of King Hussein of Jordan.

Best in Latin America-Caribbean: Guayaquil (Ecuador) —
The best airport in its region serving more than two million passengers, the International Airport in Guayaquil is named after Jose Joaquin de Olmedo: noted poet, first mayor of Guayaquil and former president of Ecuador.
