In real life, the iconic tomb's white marble facades have experienced discoloration due to air pollution, according to the petitioner in a long-running legal case which went to<a href="index.php?page=&url=https%3A%2F%2Fedition.cnn.com%2F2018%2F05%2F02%2Fasia%2Ftaj-mahal-pollution-color-change-intl%2Findex.html"> India's Supreme Court in May</a>.
