The Korean artist Lee Ufan worked with Tadao Ando on the Lee Ufan Museum on Naoshima, which was completed in 2010. Ando says the pair had "creative tension," which resulted in creating a "new world" for visitors to experience. "Artists and architects always fight. They think differently and that's why they clash. We clash, and each of us tries to move forward. That's where the spark happens. If this dynamic didn't exist, we wouldn't have great architecture."
